About the project
This residence is situated in Byrathi on a plot size of 30’x40’ with built area of 3,500 sft with Stilt, Ground, First, Second Floors for a family of five members.
The stilt has parking for 3 cars and a store room. The ground has living, dining, kitchen, pooja & utility. The top floors has bedrooms. The entry is towards the North East quadrant and north facing with entrance lobby. The skylight in the dining area illuminates the entire house is the key feature of the house. The dining area is raised by 18” from the living. The two long steps is the main design feature of the residence with a combination of marble-in-lay flooring and is also access to kitchen & rest of the area. This step acts as a seating space during social gatherings. The dining wall is a feature by itself with terracotta block wall and fixed window of Aluminum frame and glass in this breaks the monotony. The east side light penetrates through the slit windows.
This is of contemporary design with mixture of materials and design elements. It is a self-sustainable one with rain water harvesting, solar panels and heat pump. The rain water is used for flush has a dedicated pipeline. The entire residence has Italian marble flooring in common areas & wooden flooring in bedrooms with teak doors with additional feature has Glass slit with fabric in between. The hobby room in the last floor has CNC Aluminum Panel sandwiched between the glass sliding door is the design feature for the front elevation.
